"The Killer of Killers" is the sixth episode in the first season of Ash vs Evil Dead, and the sixth episode overall in the series. It was written by Nathan Crocker and directed by Michael Hurst. It premiered on STARZ on December 5, 2015.

Plot Synopsis[]

Smoke and haze blanket the farm of El Brujo as Ruby Knowby and Amanda Fisher arrive on the scene. Flames dance on the various totems and idols spread across the property, and a large funeral pyre right outside of the small ranch house still burns with the same intensity as it did when it was freshly lit. Ruby tells Amanda to check around the exterior of the home and garage, while she checks out the interior. As the two continue to examine the property inside and out, a loud bang captures the attention of Ruby and Amanda. Outside, Fisher turns her attention towards the sound, watching as a backfiring Oldsmobile hauling a silver trailer speeds off down the road in the distance.

Unbeknownst to Ruby and Amanda, the Kandarian Demon emerges from the woods, racing towards the ranch house across the vast field at inhuman speeds. Fisher hears the demon approaching, watching as it collides into the roaring funeral pyre. From the flames emerges the charred skeletal corpse of El Brujo. Amanda fires off several shots at the Deadite, though it seems to have no effect on him. Ruby emerges from the house right as Amanda runs out of ammo, running out to Fisher's defense with a sythe in her hands and stabbing the undead Brujo in the chest. The Deadite growls, calling Ruby a "double-crosser", telling her that she'll never get the Necronomicon for herself. Ruby tries to navigate the corpse back towards the pyre, but the corpse manages to overpower her, throwing Ruby (as well as himself) directly into the flames. Amanda cries out as the pyre explodes into a massive fireball. Fisher looks back to the road where she saw the Oldsmobile, deciding to finish the mission of bringing in Ash Williams on her own. She climbs back into Ruby's Dodge Challenger, noticing that Ash's severed hand is missing, though she has no time to worry about that now, and takes off down the road to give chase.

Elsewhere, Ash Williams, Pablo Simon Bolivar, and Kelly Maxwell are having breakfast at a restaurant called The Western Moose. A bewildered Pablo and Kelly watch as Ash frantically scarfs down his plate of pancakes. Williams tells his companions that he realizes what the next step is to stopping evil once and for all: he must venture back to the cabin in the woods where it all began. While Kelly and Pablo are down to go back there and destroy the Deadites, Ash tells them that he doesn't want them to go with him, as he doesn't want them to get possessed and have to kill them. Kelly says that she would be more than happy to die going down swinging, while Pablo says that he would be honored to have Ash chop his head off if he became a Deadite, to which Ash says he'll think about it. At that moment, a man who recognizes Ash approaches the table. The man, Lem, wants to speak to Ash privately, and the two walk up to the bar counter away from the table. Outside, Amanda Fisher peers through binoculars from the other side of the Western Moose's parking lot and watches as Ash and Lem walk away out of view.

At the bar, Lem asks Ash if he can use Ash's employee discount at ValueStop to stock up on toilet paper and ammo, to which Ash responds that he left that job. Lem tells him that he needs the ammo for a militia group he's a part of, and offers Ash to stop by there some time and check out their "really cool toys". Realizing it might be a good idea to stock up on some weapons before going to the cabin, Ash accepts Lem's offer. Back at the table, Kelly asks Pablo what's wrong, seeing as how he's been acting weird around her since the ordeal at the Brujo's farm. Though she initially believes it to be related to the loss of El Brujo, Pablo admits that it has to do with when she was possessed by Eligos, when she tried to seduce him and kill him. Pablo flat-out asks if she really had any of those type of feelings towards her, or if it was all the demon. Before she can respond, Ash returns to the table to finish off his breakfast, just in time for the waitress to bring the check. After trying to convince the other two that they were all going to split the check, Ash says he'll pay for it, and tells Pablo and Kelly to wait in the trailer.

Back outside, Amanda calls Lieutenant Boyle, telling him that she has the suspect behind the trailer park murders. Though he's initially upset that she's working a case while she's off-duty, she tells Boyle that he can bring him in since he's still working, and he tells her he's on his way. Inside the trailer, Kelly and Pablo sit in silence for a few moments before Kelly asks for the details of what "she" tried to do to him while she was possessed. Pablo tells her about using Ash's shotgun as a weed pipe, to which she laughs at. Kelly says that the demon must have been using her feelings about Pablo against them, which prompts Pablo to ask her how does she feel about him. Suddenly, the necklace Pablo received from El Brujo begins to jolt and bob when he sits down on the steel trunk against the trailer wall. Realizing the thumping is coming from inside the trunk, Kelly opens the lid, and the Necronomicon comes flying out, trying to "attack" the necklace. Kelly manages to pull the book away from Pablo and throw it across the room, with Pablo demanding that they lock up the book right now.

Meanwhile, inside The Western Moose, Ash is sitting alone at the table when the waitress returns. Ash tells her that he can't pay the bill, but offers to use his "talent" of making love like no other man can to make up for his lack of money. The waitress tells him that her husband in the cook, who is watching their conversation from the kitchen. Ash doesn't let that discourage him, and tells her to meet him in the men's room in three minutes. Back in the trailer, Kelly and Pablo are discussing if they can (or should) destroy the book, but Pablo is quick to catch on that Kelly doesn't want to destroy the Ex-Mortis, realizing that maybe she wants to keep fighting the Deadites. He warns her with a quote about revenge consuming her destiny, which she realizes is a quote from Yoda.

Outside, Fisher watches as Ash gets up from the table and takes off for the bathroom. Growing tired of waiting, Amanda grabs her pistol and heads inside. In the bathroom, Ash "freshens up", seriously expecting the waitress to meet him in there for sex. To his surprise, Amanda Fisher barges in there, holding Ash and gunpoint and knocking him to the ground. The two wrestle inside the bathroom, bumping into stalls and urinals before Amanda manages to grab her gun again, proclaiming that Ash is under arrest. Lem notices Ash and Amanda exit the bathroom, watching as Lieutenant Boyle steps into the restaurant, angry that Amanda took matters into her own hands. Williams protests the cops, telling him that they can't arrest him since he's the only one that can stop what he's unleashed. Suddenly, the restaurant itself begins to shake and tremble as the Kandarian Demon roars across the landscape, crashing directly into the window of The Western Moose, sending glass, customers, and employees flying across the room. Lem scrambles to his feet and flees the building in fear. It is then that Ash and Amanda notice that Boyle, with a face full of glass shards, is now a Deadite. Fisher fires several shots at her undead boss, but it's not enough to stop him before he kills a boy trying to run past the chaos. While Amanda deals with Boyle, Ash fights the waitress, who has also become a Deadite. Ash quickly disposes of the Deadite using a screwdriver built into his new Power Glove hand, and rushes over to tackle Boyle.

At that moment, Kelly and Pablo enter, throwing Ash his chainsaw and shotgun. Ash slices into Boyle with the saw and blows the Deadite's head off with a single blast. Pablo and Kelly team-up to take out the Deadite waitress, with Kelly forcing her into the kitchen and cutting the woman's face with a meat slicer. When the slicer begins to malfunction, Kelly grabs a meat tenderizer and begins to bash the Deadite's head in, all while Pablo and Ash watch from behind the safety of the kitchen door windows.

Meanwhile, Lem frantically runs through the dark and dismal woods, pausing a moment to catch his breath and pull out his cell phone. He calls the leader of the militia group, a man named Crosby, and tells him that he won't believe what he just saw, and that they need to arm up for whatever is coming. Lem grows more paranoid, dropping his phone and beginning to run again. The Kandarian Demon is hot on Lem's heels when he trips and tumbles to the ground, screaming in fear as the demon attacks him.

Back in the parking lot of The Western Moose, Ash approaches Amanda, saying that she could stick around for the police units that will be arriving any minute, or she could come with him, Kelly, and Pablo, and keep fighting evil. Amanda agrees, following Ash back to the Oldsmobile to join the others...
