Continuing the from the end of Evil Dead 2 (though Ash receives a different welcome than was suggested) Ash is at first not welcomed and is assumed to be a soldier for Henry the Red. As punishment for his treachery Ash is thrown in a pit with a deadite, where the wiseman throws him his chainsaw. Ash makes short work of the pit demon and emerges from the pit to the surprise of everyone.
