Welcome to the second in a series of reviews where I look at the various Evil Dead comic books released over the years. Last time, I looked at Dark Horse's Army of Darkness movie adaptation from 1992-93, today, I look at Dynamite Entertainment's first comic ever published: 2004's Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes limited series.

    • Four issue limited series
    • Issue #1 released July, 2004. #4 released October, 2004
    • Written by Andy Hartnell
    • Art by Nick Bradshaw

Ash has returned home from 1300 AD… a bit too early, as in he and Linda haven’t even left to go to the cabin yet. The Wise Man from 1300 AD has come to the future inform Ash of his mistake, but Ash sees it as a way to save Linda from becoming a Deadite. The pair race off to the cabin to hopefully bea…

Welcome to the first in a series of blogs where I review the Evil Dead-related comic books. For this first review, I took a look at the very first comic based on a film in the Evil Dead franchise: Dark Horse’s Army of Darkness limited series from 1992-93.

    • Three issues
    • Released from October, 1992 to January, 1993
    • Written by Sam Raimi, Ivan Raimi, and John Bolton
    • Art by John Bolton

It’s the Army of Darkness movie word for word as told from Ash’s perspective. I say word for word, but it makes a few changes by including sequences that were deleted from the final film, such as the Ash and Sheila love scene, Ash riding over to Henry The Red’s territory, and the alternate ending where Ash finds himself in a dystopian future. Perhaps the most memorable…

Would anybody reading this Wiki be interested in reading reviews about the various Evil Dead comic books from over the years? I've been reading the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness books for years now and I've always been a bit disappointed to see that there's no real in-depth review of any of them, just quick little pieces in blogs or forums that mainly focus on superhero books, hell, even big Evil Dead fan sites like or Book of The doesn't even have reviews for them. As someone who has read every Evil Dead comic out as of the time I'm writing this, these books often go unnoticed to the average Evil Dead fan, although I must admit I'm not surprised. In a survey I did about Evil Dead fans several months ago, the respondents …

    Second Coming review

December 20, 2016 by The Cruentus

I plan on making a review on all the episodes in the series, but I will start with the most recent. WARNING SPOILER ALERT.

Like all the episodes so far, its brilliant, its totally evil dead and Ted Raimi was on form as Henrietta....I nearly died at the milk scene.

Baal was hilirious as well, or should I say "Bill"? Obviously he wasn't going to fight fair.

Ellen Sandweiss makes a return as Cheryl once again, though sadly only too briefly.

Basically the premise is where the last episode left off, Ash and Tanya trapped in the basement of the cabin in the year 1982, Ash and co travelled back in time to find a way to resurrect Pablo. Tanya is killed by Henrietta and Ash briefly escapes the celler just in time to bumb into the 1980 version of Ruby be…

Ash vs. Evil Dead is premiering this week, and we want to kick off the new series right with a party menu. Whether you're sitting down to watch the new pilot, any other episode, or just having a good old-fashioned movie marathon, we have some suggestions you might enjoy. There are a lot of bad puns in this article and you are just going to have to accept that.

Here are some Ash Will-YUMS to put in your Necro-NOM-icon!

I've created plenty of cocktails for our past Tune in Tables and I wanted to do an original one for Evil Dead. Apparently there already is an Evil Dead cocktail that looks to be a complicated punch. The Kit Kat Lounge also created an Evil Dead-inspired Necronomicon cocktail with tequila and balsamic vinegar. I'm sure those are both …

And guess what? The show has already been renewed for a second season! This means more Deadites, odd household appendage body parts, and learning about the mysterious Necronomicon Ex-Mortis aka The Book of the Dead.

Are you guys glad that this show got picked up for a second season? What are your plans for Halloween night? Post in the comments below!

I wonder if Bruce Campbell will make a cameo in the movie? Love the end scare tactic. Is it too gross, or did you enjoy it as much as I did?

If someone were to make a Book of the Dead prop for a shortfilm, fan film, or just for fun, It should be written like a real book. Chapters, glossary, chapter select, introductions, explinations, ect. If the book was to become real, what chapters would they contain? Write each chapter for yourself and make it up. Give some info about the chapter, but at the same time describe it as best as you can. 666 pages. Go ahead and write away. It cannot contain guns or future technology because it would not fit in. If you have seen things from other movies and want to add it in, go ahead. But try to make it sound original, instead of having it explain an entire movie plot. And for your own ideas, think of the most twisted and screwed up things you c…
